EVERY TICKET AND COMPANION VOUCHER requires family service credit. The Texas Christian Homeschool Prom is only possible because of the amazing talent, cooperation, and support of parents and families of homeschooled and university model schooled students and their companions.
Family Service Credits are required for ALL Prom Tickets and ALL Companion Voucher Purchases. Students whose families do not have a completed assignment or concurrent assignment will not be allowed to enter prom.
Since all tickets and companion vouchers require Family Service Credit (FSC), there are a few ways that your family can work together with other families to accomplish receiving your credit.
1 – PURCHASED TICKETS: The eligible student’s family serves their own FSC for their purchased
tickets.
2 – COMPANION VOUCHERS:
This is a family organization, and we enjoy getting to know other families and serving alongside each other every year.
There are several types of Tasks:
There are also different ways you may have a Task assigned to your account:
By the end of March, everyone should have a prom job assigned. You may have accepted an Invitation-Only task, chosen a task from the Task Choices page, or made a Financial Contribution in lieu of serving in a Family Service Credit task. For any family who still needs a task to meet their Family Service Credit requirement, a team of callers will help get them plugged in to an available job.
Email PromParents@TxCHP.com if you need to discuss your preferences or need a little help getting the assignment figured out. You should be able to see any/all Tasks assigned to your family from your family Dashboard at the TxCHP.com website.
Email PromParents@TxCHP.com if your family has a serious extenuating circumstance that would preclude your family from being able to serve this year. A TxCHP representative will contact you to discuss the situation. We also have a beautiful prayer team that can pray for any circumstances going on in the lives of our prom families.

Please note this is a change to the way this policy has been handled in prior years. We will have some specific notes on tasks that are “Companion Service Credit Compatible” meaning a student or parent from either the host family or the companion’s family may fulfill the credit hours. For guests (non-eligible students) and alumni families, if you wish to be part of the Night of Prom crew, these tasks are not usually “Companion Service Credit Compatible“, so please email PromParents@TxCHP.com to request a Night of Prom task interview and include some background information so we understand the situation.
